In 1951, Arflex hit the designer-furniture scene with avant-garde, artistic panache, which it continues to exhibit today. Arflex’s attention is focused on cultural experimentation utilizing new technological advances, some far ahead of their time. In the 1960’s, Arflex was an integral part of the Modern Movement in furniture design. It’s since received multiple awards and its works are housed in some of the top design museums in the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Triennale in Tokyo.
